christmas and new years

We spent Christmas and New Years in New York. We hoped it would give us a chance to "catch up," and, given busy work schedules, it was our best (only?) option. We were able to get some good family time, including with Peterson grandparents and Uncle Ben. Holidays here continue to reinforce the fact that NYC is home.

Early December visit from Peterson grandparents; Josie loved building and decorating her gingerbread house. The faces you see on our kids here are what we get when someone says "smile". Wonderful.

Pre-Christmas festivities included Rockefeller Center, Christmas Spectacular at Radio City, and the Macy's Christmas wonderland

Visit to Santa--fun times by all but not all at the same time

Christmas morning greeting Santa's treasures (yes, she asked for a "mama and a baby giraffe"); a balmy walk  on New Year's Day walk through Times Square--what a mild winter!
