beach time

We were really fortunate to spend the last week of August on Long Island. Even though Clint had to work most of the time, it was a magical trip for our family of four. We are learning to love East Coast beaches and hope to make this an annual tradition.
Making memories
Our beach routine--lather with sunscreen (inevitably sand, too), bathing suit on, explore beach...
...build sand castles, get buried...
...and find treasures during sunset walks--all while Sam snoozes on and off
Sam was a bit disenchanted with our seafood feast, but Josie dug in and loved it
Hard to keep her out of the ocean even when it cooled down; clam carnage thanks to hurricane Irene

We loved our sunset walks

Peterson family, you are beautiful! I cannot get over how big Sam is now, and how much he and Josie look alike!! Glad to hear you are all doing well!
