end of summer

I don't know where the time went, but suddenly October is here. We were fortunate to have wonderful visitors in August and a short golf trip to Florida (thanks to my parents for watching Josie) to commemorate the end of summer. Fall will be spent outside as long as the weather permits, and then searching for suitable activities when it doesn't. One thing we're currently trying is "art" class--basically a 45-minute exercise in gooey chaos. I love it, mostly because she seems to like it but also because I don't end up with paint on my walls.
