hot times in phoenix

With my ample free time, I get to do wonderful things...like spend a week in Phoenix visiting my brother and his family. Meanwhile, poor Clint burned some midnight oil at the office...ah how the tables have turned. Last summer, I was slaving away as his sugar mama while he was golfing. Good husband.

So yes, I certainly missed him, but glad I took the chance to see Alex and Brooke and their adorable 16-month-old Hailey. That is one seriously cute kid. See for yourself. My mom flew out to watch Hailey while Brooke was at girls camp, so I decided to tag along. We had a great week doing whatever it is you do with 16-month-olds--puzzles, books, playing in the water, taking naps, etc. Alex and I played some cutthroat racquetball as well. Their city has an amazing tennis and racquetball complex where you can play for $3/hour. Oh, the joys of suburbia! We're looking forward to more time with Brooke and Alex when they come to NY in September. I also got to see one of my college roommates and her three kids (and forgot to take pictures, as usual). Three kids -- and she made it look so easy!
The female obsession with shoes has started early
A Hassell tradition--the States puzzle
Bath time and crazy hair
The splash park--Hailey loves playing in the water
Yes, they do have grass in Phoenix and Hailey loves it, especially when she gets to water herself and the grass with the hose!
