4th of july

We started off our 4th of July weekend with a wedding (of a "Josie", no less!) in Maryland--it was so fun to see old friends. As our first road trip as a family of four, we were thankful not to have any major mishaps. The setting was beautiful and (our) Josie was introduced to blue crabs, of which she couldn't get enough. We, of course, were relegated to shelling so that she could eat whatever delicious meat we could scavenge. We made it back to NY in time to celebrate the 4th with sparklers and yet more dear NY friends who have since moved. With all of the churn in the city, hard to believe we're becoming the old guard after only 3.5 years.
