celebrating josie

Yes, this is yet another one of those posts where we celebrate our child, but given she turned one this week, we figure it's a good enough excuse. And how can you not love that face? She's been a walking whirlwind for the last several weeks and is understanding more and more each day. We love the laughter, smiles, and jabbering she brings to our home each day. She's full of independence (especially when it comes to eating), loves any type of music, and could read books all day. We had a little celebration for her where she tried her first cupcake. It wasn't a huge hit, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time. Can't believe it's been a year!
Happy Birthday! Her first cupcake--she daintily licked a bit of icing and then her only interest was in throwing it on the floor.
Party time.
Faces of Josie
I know she's growing, but how does this happen overnight? In one night, both toes cut through her pajamas!
An outing to see the Rangers and Ovechkin, sans Josie, of course. My first trip to the Garden and I was not disappointed. Hockey is definitely better in person.
Last but not least, some precious time with her Peterson grandparents (Grandma is hiding in this picture). It's great to see family whenever we can.
