spring travels

Fortunately, you can get a direct flight nearly everywhere from New York. Unfortunately, it takes nearly as long to get to the West Coast as it does to London! So we've had a lot of long flights as we've had a couple of weddings in the West. A big bonus for us is that the weddings were located in places where we have family. We love the chance to reconnect with parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

However, before we had weekends away, we had a great visit from my parents in early April who helped us add a few plants to our place. Two weeks later, two of Clint's sisters (Rebecca and Annie) joined us for the weekend. It was great to have more visitors, especially since we even got some nice weather. And April market our first spotting of one of the many celebrities that live here--we spotted Liv Tyler at an outdoor market in the West Village. We also got a visit from the Jann and Randy Paul (great family friends of the Petersons) as well as the great regular visits from Clint's dad. We only wish we had our camera out more to capture all our visitors and good times.

Now to our travels...
Stop 1: Salt Lake for a wedding (a childhood friend of Clint's) and time with Clint's family
Stop 2: Charlottesville, Virginia for time with Clint's sister Leah, her husband Kevin (who just graduated with an MBA from Darden), and their darling daughter Rainey
Stop 3: Oakland for another wedding. This time it was friends from Boston, Jenny and Ben Forrest. We also got time with several of the Petersons who live in the Bay Area
