8/8 - 8/18 paris

What better place to start the c+d epic adventure than in the city of love? Uh, with your parents…?
Actually, it couldn’t have been better. We stayed in apartments on Ile de la Cite, which is the center of the center of Paris, with the bells of Notre Dame literally right outside our window (almost always a plus). My Francophile parents served as 5-star guides, while little sister Sugs kept things young (we each averaged 3 crepes a day, bien sur). We saw all of the major sights, plus a lot of secondary ones (like the catacombs, with its 5 million skeletons lining underground tunnels), and even tertiary ones (such as the sewers, which stunk). We had a magical week and fell in love with Paris, again. We’re hoping to move there someday; or, at least have occasional long-term stays. Parents invited.
